Thanks to everyone who has put entries into this year’s Flower Show. We have seventy-odd entries including eight non-members.
It is going to be a grand affair.
The five “Distinguished Melbourne Sculptors” – William Eicholtz, Grant Finck, Ernst Fries, James Parrett and Faustas Saudauskas, who are our guests, will be the centre-piece for the exhibition.
Peter Blizzard O.A.M. is our judge, and the Presentation Night will be on Wednesday 2nd at 6.00 pm onwards after viewing the sculptures and the prize winners in the Carlton Gardens.
Entry will be via the Rathdowne Street entrance (gate) only with an invitation which allows free entry from 4.00 p.m. till 6.00pm. We then make our way down to Lygon Street to a restaurant called La Notte, 140-146 Lygon Street, where the presentations will take place. This function is $10 per head and champagne and nibbles are provided. Other drinks are available at bar prices. It is also a good place to dine afterwards and there are plenty of choices up and down Lygon Street.
