ASV Recent Activities

Wednesday 9 June 2010: ASV Committee Meeting: The Committee agreed:
(1) In future, the Committee would agree on a brief or structure of each ASV organised exhibition in advance, including guidelines on the budget, advertising, prizes, and venue. Whilst probably not so important for experienced Exhibition Coordinators planning recurring exhibitions, it was felt that a general and uniform approach on these lines would simplify the procedure for new personnel. This brief would be provided to the Exhibition Coordinator, who would be asked to report to the Committee on progress.
(2) The ASV would provide support to Tesselaar in 2010 in advertising and encourage members to enter; more tangible support would be considered for 2011.
(3) The Light Factory was confirmed as the venue for the 2010 Annual Exhibition.
(4) Committee members would attend one-to-one training with Janice McCarthy on the new prototype web site, to cover features in which they have an interest.

Saturday 19 June 2010: Visit to National Gallery lecture: Marija Patterson arranged for ASV tickets at a lecture on the exhibition by Dr Felix Kramer, head of the Stadel Museum's Collection of Nineteenth Century, Modern Painting and Sculpture.
