NEXT MEMBERS’ MEETING

Due to the fact that our previous meeting rooms are being renovated we are now without a home. However as Ex- Activities Coordinator (!!!!) I have organised a room at the Moorabbin Masonic Hall, Rowans Road, Moorabbin Mel Ref. Map77 G7 on the 3rd Wednesday 15th February.

This will not be permanent but will give a bit of time to find a new venue we can call home. If anyone has any contact or ideas please contact me or Jenny Rickards.

This does however give a great opportunity for some of our new Bayside members to come along and meet some of their fellow sculptors. It would also be great to see some of our longstanding members who have been unable to come for a while due to the distance to travel. I also hope this will not deter members living near our previous meeting rooms from joining us. I have not organised a speaker but being the first meeting we can just socialise. Please bring some work to talk about, some handy hints or interesting photos articles or books. These evenings have been a great success in the past and good fun.

I would also be pleased for any suggestions re: Speakers demonstrations or outings for the coming year

Happy New Year to You all…. Gillian Govan..ex-Activities coordinator – 0412 122 884

OTHER ACTIVITIES AND EXHIBITIONS

NEW GALLERY at DAYLESFORD

We are starting up an art gallery and sculpture park just outside Daylesford in March 2012 and were wanting to know if you have any of your members who wanted to display their works. Our Gallery Sculpture park and Café is set in the grounds of an 1861 primary school in Glenlyon. The grounds offer beautiful 100 year old elm trees and gardens as well as the original school building. Glenlyon is 8km from Daylesford and 12 km from Piper Street Kyneton, it is a small vibrant country town with a general store and the soon to be Old School Gallery & Café, we will also be a licensed premises. Enquiries to hello@2cool4school.com.au
