Meridian Sculpture Foundry

My name is Gareth Morley and I write to you from fine art bronze foundry Meridian Sculpture in Fitzroy.

After visiting this years Flower and Garden exhibition and speaking with both Jenny Whiteside and Michael Meszaros, both of whom we have a good working relationship with, it occurred to me that there are many names and faces represented by the ASV that we haven’t met but whose work we admire. For a long time our company has had a great reputation for quality work but hasn’t always engaged with its arts constituency so readily. Since becoming Director a few months ago I’m keen to see that change!

Rather than simply promoting our primary bronze casting business we also have a new integrated sculpture modelling workshop service which I believe to be unique in the country. This new entrant in the creative education space has had some great feedback from its debut classes, includes a bronze casting after one-on-one tuition, and I’d be happy to offer your ASV members generous course discounts - more info here: http://meridiansculpture.com/meridian-workshops/

Our budget for advertising and PR is limited and leads me to consider more community minded options; one we’ve mulled here for a while is partially/fully funded castings for new or emerging sculptors who wish to explore their work in bronze.
