We cooperate as an association to advance the practice of sculpture and the reputation and appreciation of sculpture and sculptors in the community. This is regardless of whether or not we make a living from sculpture and regardless of our preferred style or medium. To this end we support artists’ moral rights, we advocate a professional attitude to the production and presentation of work and encourage the artistic and intellectual stimulation of interaction amongst artists of all persuasions.

Entries are Open: ASV Annual & Awards Exhibition

The Exhibition will be held in the foyer spaces of Bourke Place, 600 Bourke Street Melbourne and will run from 7th to 25th August 2017

Members with more than ten years’ sculpting experience are invited to enter for the Margaret Gunnersen William Hoggan Thomas Award and sculptors with fewer than ten years’ sculpting experience – both members and non-members are invited to enter for the Andor Meszaros Australian Design and Fine Arts Society - Yarra Prize. Members may enter up to three works, non-members may enter one work.

This is our third exhibition at Bourke Place – our coordinator, Yvonne Monik, is already liaising with Bourke Place management, the music is booked for our opening night and the photographer is ready to record your work. The ASV is expected to put on another exciting show – be in it!
